Date and Time
Sat, 18th Apr, 2026 at 19:00 - 21:00

Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider – Violin
Toke Møldrup – Cello
Daniele Rinaldo – Piano

The ensemble has been formed around the Hildasholm Musikken – a festival in Dalarna Sweden where they have worked together and performed for five years, as well as in Denmark. The trio played at Hellens last summer and we are delighted to welcome them again.

Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider has been awarded all the most prestigious prizes in Denmark including the Carl Nielsen, Jakob Gade and Sonning Foundation grants.  She has been a soloist with all the major Danish orchestras, and was for a number of years Associate Concert master of The Royal Danish Orchestra and later The Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Her performing career the last decade has been centered around the repertoire for violin and keyboard.   Elisabeth has performed throughout Europe and the USA; the CDs that she has released have won critical acclaim for their in-depth interpretations.

Toke Møldrup Acclaimed as “A star” (New York Times), “Tomorrow’s man” and even a “A consummate perfectionist on the cello” (Politiken), Danish cellist Toke Møldrup has performed across Europe and the United States, South America, Australia, the Middle East and Asia for two decades.  Møldrup’s concerts, social media presence and his experimental and reflected approach to classical music captivate existing audiences while engaging new listeners.

Hailed as “a pianist of extraordinary dramatic flair” (The New York Times), “a memorable artist… of remarkable maturity and imagination” (El Paìs), the Italian pianist Daniele Rinaldo has already performed as soloist in major venues and festivals all over the world, such as “Rising Stars” in Alice Tully Hall and Chelsea Music Festival in New York, Lorin Maazel’s Castleton Festival in the USA, Wigmore Hall, St-Martin-in-the-Fields and Barbican in London, Tonhalle in Zurich, Verbier Festival, Konzerthaus in Berlin and in the main halls of Paris, Basel, Tokyo, Geneva and Rome, as well as touring extensively Europe, Japan, China and South America.

The first half of the program opens with an equally grand Bach piece: a “Triosonata” where three voices , violin, left and right hand of keyboard, teases and baffles.
The Debussy cello sonata is was conceived as a tribute to the baroque masters Couperin and Rameau and has a beautiful intimate atmosphere
The Janácek Pohádka (Fairytale) are inspired by an epic Russian poem and rounds off the first half of the concert on a fantastic note.
After the break we set sail for the Beethoven trio: The name “Archduke” refers to the dedication from Rudolph of Austria, an amateur pianist, a friend and piano student of Beethoven. The title shadows a bit for the wonderful inspired piece, that happened to become the last piece that Beethoven performed in public. His deafness was at this point so grave that he could not hear himself – let alone the violin and cello. Despite the intense anguish Beethoven must have felt at this time, he composes a piece of great beauty and optimism.  The programme is a tour de force – all pieces playing up to the large, wonderful Beethoven trio that is one of Beethoven’s greatest works.
