One of Britain’s most eminent string quartets is joined by one of Britain’s finest woodwind players in an alluring programme. It opens with one of Beethoven’s greatly loved and accessible Opus 18 String Quartets and ends with Brahms’ glorious Clarinet Quintet, one of the most famous chamber compositions in the repertoire. Between the two works, these wonderful musicians will perform
John Ireland’s youthful and attractive String Quartet No 1 and an arrangement of an early Mozart String Quartet.
